Sandy our Labrador…

Looking back at photos of our Sandy, we are just amazed at how much she has grown and what a sweet natured and loving dog she is. She is so kind and gentle and we all feel very blessed to have her in our lives… Pets hold a very special place in our hearts, how could they not…

(She is holding her tug-of-war rope in her mouth, she runs around with this all the time, trying to convince our other dogs, Guss and Daisy to play a game with her:)

Yes, I had to knit her, this special girl… Watching her run and jump in the yard… I could see the stitches and pattern forming in my mind and then there it was… written and knitted…

I have added the pattern of Sandy to my shop🙂
Happy Sunday everyone…

Tuesday…

Thank you so much for everyones beautiful comments that have been left since yesterday for the giveaway, I cherish them 🙂 You are all so kind! Today we had the most tremendous electrical storm, lightning and thunder and then we looked under the sideboard table and Charlie and Sandy were fast asleep… so precious, I just love the paw over Charlie’s face…

Here is a shelf update, the Oregon shelves have been sanded and oiled and are looking quite superb, thanks to my wonderful husband. I love old furniture, it is so solid and full of character and history, I always wonder where it used to live and what the people were like who owned it before it made its journey to us… We are going to take them into my studio tonight and attach them to the walls, at last I have somewhere to pack my books…(she says with glee…)
I have just listed some new items in my shop, floral fat quarters of South African quilting fabric and undyed South African Merino roving, (so soft) …
If you missed entering the giveaway yesterday you still have time to enter here, I will be choosing a winner tomorrow, the yarn below is the giveaway item, the softest Camel Silk 🙂
Do all have a lovely day, I am off to put up shelves:)

Advent 3rd Week

I light three candles on the wreath, all made of holly green
For birds and beasts, both large and least,
Three candles now are seen
We await on earth the holy birth, and upon the boughs of green.
Our hopes arise with every flame, three candles now are seen!

This is a Sandy update, she sleeps like this all over the house, but especially likes to sleep on my quilts in the lounge on the back of the couch:) Such a sweet girl!

Weekending

We have been having a wonderful weekend. Sandy has settled in well and LOVES water as you can see. She runs in the sprinklers and becomes totally drenched.
And then when she is finished playing, she passes out and has a nap…
We are enjoying all the varied bird life in the garden at the moment.

Asparagus for dinner? Yip from our very own garden:) I love that we can just go outside the kitchen door and pick our food:) Makes me happy…

We divided and replanted all of our Irises, (about 500 + plants) two years ago and this year they are giving us a beautiful show… It is almost time to divide again.

Our Oak tree is green!
The Wisteria is magnificent down the side wall of our home…

My Aestlight Shawl is almost finished, I am just busy with the lacy edge.

I can’t wait to knit another shawl:) Any suggestions?
Happy Sunday
xo
