This Tuesday was Caiden’s Birth-day, he is now eight years old, how quickly the time has flown, when I think back to the very day he joined us eight years ago, I still remember this beautiful little baby that birthed into this world. His birth was a wonderful gift, our second home birth, so special and gentle…
We had a lovely day together, even his daddy was able to join us for his special celebration in the afternoon, it was a full day with much to do in preparation… The night before Richard and I prepared his birth-day table, I love this tradition. Just before bed Cady and I said his birthday poem, I lit a candle and we said his poem together and then off to sleep he went, so full of excitement for the day to come. A special table with flowers, a candle and all his gifts was prepared the night before, with his birth-day crown too.
I baked a cake…
Erin and I prepared a bunting…
Friends came over and played Red Rover and Pass the Parcel…
What a wonderful day…
Well it looks like a wonderful way to celebrate and remember the special birth of a special child.

Happy birthday to Caiden, Linda. I am sure he enjoyed his day so much. Birthing babes at home is so peaceful and natural. When it comes to our children’s brithday, I think us mamas always recall the day of our child’s birth so vividly no matter how many birthdays pass.
