Hi, I’m Linda!
Thank you so much for visiting our little home on the web!
We are a homeschooling family from South Africa, I am married to a lovely mountain biking man called Richard and we have four beautiful children. Richard and I have been married for 20 years and it feels as if it’s all passing me by far too quickly.
We live on an acre of land within a suburban area and grow our own veggies and fruit. We have 21 chickens, they all have names and the sweetest characters. We love them tremendously! We also have dogs, cats, fish, birds and rabbits that we adore and dote on.
After I finished school I studied a Bachelors degree, majoring in English, History and Archaeology. I also studied to become a Montessori preschool teacher and ran my own business for 5 years. After Kye was born, Richard and I decided that I would stop teaching and start homeschooling our own family. We discovered Waldorf and Charlotte Mason along the way and our choice to home-school has been the best decision we have made.
Now I am a stay at home mother and I design knitting patterns of animals and flowers. I love what I do! It enables me to be at home and raise my children and for me, that is one of the most important things in my life. My business, Mamma4earth is almost 8 years old and has given me the opportunity to connect with amazing people from all over the world.
I have also just published my first e-book called ‘Knitting Flowers‘, it’s available on Amazon Kindle.
Thank you so much for stopping by, do make yourself a cup of tea, pull up a chair and enjoy your journey around Natural Suburbia, there are plenty of knitting patterns, recipes, craft tutorials and many posts about our life here in South Africa etc….
Enjoy!
