Handwork and Nature Walks

There has been so much handwork going on here over this past weekend…
Caiden rediscovered his embroidery and has just been sitting peacefully sewing away most of the weekend. He has enjoyed it so much, he has started a third project… Erin has been knitting, but now the embroidery bug has gotten the better of her and she too is sewing furoiusly away…
Early this morning, Erin with her embroidery…
We all set off this morning for our nature walk to seek out signs of Autumn…
Glorious trees turning yellow…
 Branches to climb…

And grass to run…

Links added:
I have added two links to the knitted Easter egg pattern I blogged a few posts back. K has sent me a link for a You Tube video showing the Magic Loop, thank you K 🙂 And I have also added another You Tube link to a video on how to add a different colour of  yarn when knitting with circular needles:)

Happy Monday everyone:)
Warmly
Linda

Looks like a lovely, relaxing weekend. I always love hearing you talk about seeking signs of autumn while we seek out signs of spring. 🙂

What fab photos again Linda!! I am also LOVING seeing and feeling the seasons change. I love that it is cooler in the mornings and afternoons. Autumn is such a lovely time. So nice that your kids are so crafty. I used to LOVE doing cross-stitch, but it kind of fell by the wayside with all my other hobbies! Wanted to tell you that I have moved my kids back to their old school. The academic pressure and load they were under at the Christian school they were at was ridiculous!! The whole atmosphere in our home has changed (for the better!) and I am over the moon about it. My kids now have more time to play and it is wonderful. Hope you are keeping well my friend. Hope we can catch up properly soon. Smiles, Rene’

Oh, I do love that l’il sleepy gnome.

You know, it seems like it was just Springtime in your neck o’ the woods–but I suppose if it is almost Spring here, it must assuredly be feeling like Autumn there, huh?
