Simon the Storytelling Gnome

Simon the Storytelling Gnome:

I have made him for my friend’s son’s birthday. Simon is knitted from pure wool and has a bell on the end of his gnome hat. He is filled with pure fleece. He has a bag filled with gem stones that help him to tell his stories. He also has a neeldlefelted beard. I really enjoyed making him.

You will be able to see from the photos that his arms have a place for the storyteller to place their thumb and index finger and then Simon will tell his latest story.

Each part of Simon is knitted separately, his hat, jersey, shoes, bag, the legs and body etc…

I will be adding him to my Etsy shop soon, www.mamma4earth.etsy.com and my personal shop, www.waldorfinspiredtoys.blogspot.com

He stands about 10 inches / 27 cm tall and when his hat is up he measures almost 40 cm / 15 inches tall.

Have a great day…..

What a delightful character he is and I am sure he will be very loved by the lucky child he was gifted to. I would be tempted to offer a storytelling gnome a home if you put one in your shop! My boys love gnomes.
