It is a very sad day here in South Africa, our Madiba, Nelson Mandela passed away last night, he was and will always be a true icon and hero, may he rest in peace…

Thanks for hosting and have a great weekend. Lovely donkey. Reminds me of Eeor (sp) from Winnie The Pooh.

Hi Linda, at last, just in time for the Christmas season, I have some crafting inspiration!!!! Or perhaps it was a necessity!!
I’m also making time for blogging and blog reading which I’ve missed in the last few months.
Lovely to see you all well and of course to check up on your beautiful creations.

Nelson Mandela was a great example for us all in his courage in fighting for justice. A time to mourn his loss, but also a time to celebrate his extraordinary contributions to all of humanity.

My family was fortunate to see and hear Mandela in June, 1990. He was in Atlanta, Georgia, USA at the Georgia Tech stadium.

    Hi Linda (waving from Pennsylvania)!

I have been doing some housecleaning (online) and reading heartwarming comments you’d left on my old blog (Foursquare Schoolhouse) when I was in treatment for breast cancer in ’09.

I sought you out again…and added you to my Bloglovin’. I missed seeing your lovely little creations! And, yes…it is so very sad to say goodbye to Nelson Mandela. He was an amazing human being.

I am happy to be back in touch & look forward to seeing your posts in my feed!

    ~Jessica xoxo

Your opening sentence on your blog about the days getting shorter and dark earlier threw me! Here in USA..we just had the time change so the days are longer and gets dark later! I thought I was reading something wrong…until I remembered you are in Africa! LOL! Thanks for hosting the creative Friday and I commend you on your knitting of the little animals… I crocheted many years ago but afghans and baby sweaters and hats were as far as I went with the craft! I am back to sewing/quilting now.
