I have been working on my cowl design and I’ve decided to call it the Seaglass Cowl, thank you Diana for the lovely suggestion:) I’m knitting it in Nurturing Fibres Oxalis spaghetti aran weight yarn, it’s a blend of Merino, silk and Kid Mohair, too divine for words!! Carle’ the dyer of this lovely yarn has also just launched her pattern club, I have joined and intend to knit the gorgeous shawl on the club thread.
I would like to have a test knit for my cowl when it’s finished, before it goes live on Ravelry. I love test knits, they make me feel happy to send my patterns out into the universe knowing that they are hopefully free of errors.
We are having a bit of a tough schooling week, we are tackling physics and finding it a tad difficult, I wish there was a website somewhere with all the answers and I that I could make sense of them, sigh… I’m sure we will find our way but for now it feels daunting…
What knitting or crochet goodness are you working on this week?

Have you seen the Khan Academy fellow on youtube? He has made thousands of videos in this field for helping his nieces and nephews. Then others found him and he has created an amazing series of vids for learning. Look him up…
What an amazing site Lynda, thank you!! 🙂
I was just getting ready to recommend the same thing. We love Khan academy.
How much yardage do you need for the cowl. I have a skein of Cascade Eco Duo that might be perfect for this cowl. If the yardage is right I’d love to test knit it for you.
The skein I’m knitting from is 130 metres but I think I will be using more than one skein for this project. I will let you know as soon as it’s finished. I would love you to test knit for me thanks:)
The cowl is gorgeous and that yarn, lovely.
Good luck with the physics.
Lovely cowl, lovely colors! I’ve got two shawls, a hat, and a scarf all going at the same time. You never know when I’ll get bored with a project.
beautiful….love the stitch definition…..and the color!
Hi Linda – I thrilled you used Seaglass. I would love to test pattern and depending on yardage believe I have a wonderful yarn to use.
Thanks so much Diana, I love the name:) Thanks for offering to test knit, that would be lovely.
I am working on socks at the moment. It has been very cold here in the UK, and I get very cold feet!
Speaking of trying to keep warm, I would love to test knit your cowl for you. I have some lovely cashmerino yarn that I have been trying to find the right cowl pattern for!
Good luck with the physics!

The cowl is knitting up beautifully. This week I have be crocheting a bright, cartoonish stuffed kitty as a gift for a friend’s baby 🙂
Just finished a baby sweater, would love to test the cowl for you!!!! It’s beautiful, the name is PERFECT, I have a small, precious collection of Seaglass!
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous colors!
Oh my! The sheen on that yarn is fabulous. I can’t imagine how gorgeous it must be in person!
Laughing – I was going to suggest Khan, too. I’ve never seen it, but my M swears by it. I’d find Physics more than a tad difficult. In fact, I have NEVER gotten past the first concepts. My children look down their noses at me and state that there is NO SUCH THING as deceleration. I still don’t believe them.
Beautiful name for the work, and I love the stitch marker.
Khan is a wonderful website and we will look through it:) The name Seaglass, was suggested by Diana, just lovely and my dear Erin made the stitch marker with a freshwater pearl.
xo
I’d love to test knit your new cowl!
I love your Sea Glass Cowl!!!!
Just Beautiful
Linda, I love your yarn. Can’t wait to see the FO..
