Linda, thanks for the link: I Follow you Twitter, Like you in FB, Favorite your shop at Etsy and hope to someday be a competent knitter able to learn your patterns too.
Well, I went there and learned some things. I wish I’d been able to be the math tutor – I’m very good at it. Or, at least, for many years I was. And it’d be so fun to work with the kids. Well, fun for ME.
Having the studio for thirty years, I have met people with very interesting gifts. Some musicians see the music as graphics in their heads. Others can hear entire symphonies, each part very clearly, in the silence of their own minds. I know where harmonies have to be put, and can open my mouth and place the sound in exactly that spot. So reading about your design process is fascinating to me. I have gotten a little feel for the shaping of things through doing the pony pattern over and over again – thirty times, maybe, trying to make it do what I wanted it to do – but you have an innate feel, a sort of physical vision of design and function all at once.
Thanks for the generous giveaway Linda!
