Jen wasn’t feeling well yesterday, by the evening, she had intense pain on her right side, we rushed her to the emergency room and after blood tests it was discovered that she had appendicitis!
She stayed over at the hospital last night and has been taken up to theatre now, I’m not sure what time they will operate today…
She is such a brave girl!
It’s very scary seeing her so ill…

Jen came home today, she is looking so much better, it’s wonderful to have her here with us again!

My son had his appendix out in June, so I know how it feels. She will be fine, she is in good hands, and she will soon be out of pain. Just make sure she gets enough fluids after. Soon it will all be memory.

We were in a similar situation with our son 3 Christmas’ ago. He was sick and then well and then sick again, the pain was in the right spot, the docs at the ER had the same suspicions, the blood test showed it was indeed bacterial but the ultra sound showed a healthy appendix and then the pain went away. A twist in the intestinal track, prayers or something else entirely, we’ll never know?!
I hope everything goes well for your daughter. Modern medicine is quite remarkable these days and before you know it, like Lies said, it will all be a memory.
