Clearing Out and Painting

Lavender

Do you ever feel that there’s too much unnecessary ‘stuff’ in your house? Piles of this ‘stuff’ everywhere that you really don’t need?? I feel this way and must do something about it now. I have started with the boys room…

Boys Bedroom

This is Caiden and Kye’s bedroom, the reason it looks so horrendously untidy is because the girls are painting their bedroom today and everything has been put into the boys room. Besides all the extra things that will be gone by tonight, there are so many other items that I am going to go through and either give away or throw out. I will have to be ruthless and this is difficult for me. I always think that we will be able to use an item at another time and then refuse to let it go, which doesn’t help when you are trying to make your house devoid of clutter. So, I have started with the boys room, I’m going through the cupboards and then the bookshelf and by tonight, hopefully, this space will be a lot neater and tidier to look at.

Girls Bedroom

It’s Erin’s 14th birthday on Monday and she wanted to re-do her bedroom. This morning we went and bought paint and brushes etc… and new bedding and cushions.

They are busy painting at the moment while I’m typing this, they have grown up so fast and have taken on the responsibility of painting their own room, Cady is helping too and so far it looks beautiful. I will keep you updated on the clearing out process and the painting progress.

Can’t wait to see the finished room. I love make-overs. I am doing my bathroom this week.

I too have to much “stuff”. It’s hard to let go of all those things you might need someday. My problem ends up that I don’t even remember I have an item packed away!! Good luck.

Will you be making the Sherpa hat pattern availabe anytime soon? I love it! Thanks.

      Hi Chris,
I know what you mean, I also pack things safely away and then often forget where I’ve hidden them!
The Sherpa Hat pattern will be available soon, I just need to have it test knitted on my Ravelry group. I have just finished the blue one this weekend for Erin. Thanks so much.
      Have a lovely Sunday

That’s awesome they’re painting their own room. My eldest did when her Nanna came to visit when I was pregnant with the youngest. They painted it together and I think that was a good thing to do together.

I just finished painting my bathroom lol (http://seemyfootprints.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/bathroom-reno-installment-2-continued.html) and boy it was rewarding! you can see from the before and after pics in that post that I decluttered a LOT by the end!

enjoy your decluttering, it’s theraputic I think. Which reminds me I need to continue with my decluterring. Good luck and have fun!
