This is Jenna’s desk and as you can see it’s being occupied by Delilah. Her eyes are open but she is actually sleeping.
Not too much learning has been happening here this week, we have an awful flu sweeping through our home. Sally Fallon’s Nourishing Traditions Chicken Soup recipe has been heartily appreciated and is helping us through this time of illness. I really love her book, both the recipes and all the wonderful nutrition information that she shares too.

Your cats are so funny!
Hope you all are feeling right again soon. The kitty cracks me up with her spread-eagle pose and wide-open eyes.
love the cat storys here at natural suburbia…always let me smile;) thank you:)
I grew up with cats and currently really miss the presence of a cat..so even more lovely to see for me;)

So sorry your family is ill but also glad you don’t have the pressure of “what are the children missing at school” along with it. We homeschooled & so many times appreciated knowing that we could deal with illness, etc. reasonably & catch up later or add a few school days.
Hope everyone feel well soon!
Just discovered your blog and really enjoy it. Did not homeschool but we were devoted Montessori parents and did lots of fun stuff with our girls, from nature hikes and pond explorations to homemade playdough; handmade books and all kinds of art and science projects–fun times!!! Now that our youngest is in college, I have time to knit…and knit…and knit!
I am so sorry to hear your family is battling the flu. I hope the chicken soup works quickly. Get well soon.
Delilah is GORGEOUS!

Oh dear, you have the ‘flu’ also! it’s going round here too! I’m drinking buckets of fresh ginger,
lemon, dried thyme and honey tea and seem to warding off sickness for the time being! I thus have the role of Florence Nightingale!!
Hope you all get well soon.
That cat loves the camera!!
Get well soon.
