Portrait Sunday… Agapanthus Everywhere…

I am so enjoying our garden at the moment… our Agapanthus flowers are in full bloom right now…  They come up each year around this time, but have never given such a beautiful show…  Earlier this year, we dug them up and divided them as they had grown and multiplied into great clumps. It was worth all the hard work because now they are all flowering at once. They are such beautiful flowers, indigenous to South Africa, their perfect symmetry is amazing and wonderful to gaze at… I love to sit in a shady spot on the grass outside and knit and be inspired by this beauty of Mother Nature…

Even Charlie was enjoying being outdoors today…

Linda your garden is looking STUNNING! My agapanthas are also flowering beautifully at the moment. I have spent the past week working like a mad woman in my garden, and lots has been done. Veggie patch is all constructed and hopefully the veggies and pavers are going in tomorrow. How big is your plot of land, from your photos it seems HUGE! Hope you have a wonderful week, I am so happy the boys only have 1 week of school left!

    Hello Linda!
Your agapanthas are gorgeous! When we lived in San Diego, California they were everywhere – I always thought they looked like wands for a fairy queen! I wonder if they would grow here in the desert…
Lots of love and happy crafting to you!
    xoxo

Oh, look at you with your soft purples and deep greens. I am looking outside at browns and grays and gold. Oh, wait, there is some blue in the sky, and someone seems to have just turned on the sun for a moment. I hope Rachel saw that – she’s in the hospital with her youngest.

Ah the agapanthus are blooming in my garden as well. Finally after very heavy rain I can think about getting some photos of them. I didn’t realise they were native to South Africa until now. I love them!
Your garden is beautiful, mine is a mess right now, but I have big plans.
