My Tea Leaves Cardigan is finished, I am so thrilled with how it turned out!! I have never loved a cardigan so much, it fits perfectly and the wool is so soft. I hand painted twenty 50 gram skeins of Merino aran weight wool for this project using diluted reddish brown and grey dyes to give that antique rose shade and I dyed them in my sun stove. It’s wonderful to wear it now that Spring is here and we have been having a few cool evenings.
As most of you know, the month of August was a hospital month for us, this project was my constant companion while I sat at my dad’s bedside each day. I would take it out my basket and just knit a few rows…
My pattern notes on Ravelry are here
The buttons were given to me by my mom, she bought them many years ago to sew onto a jacket, but then decided not to use them, so they were just perfect don’t you think?
I feel a little silly in these photos. They were taken by Richard and Erin, have you noticed when you are having photos taken that you don’t really know how to stand or what to do? Thank you my loves for your sweet photos:)
I am finishing off my Circumnavigate Cowl at the moment, I am enjoying it so much…
Have a lovely week.
Joining in with the lovely Ginny today.
