Linda

I am 43 years old today!

I’ve had a wonderful spring birthday. The weather has been perfect. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast made by my love, I received beautiful gifts and went out for tea this morning to one of my favourite nurseries, (of course I had to buy just a ‘few’ plants… one simply cannot visit a nursery and not buy plants, can they?? 🙂

It’s almost hard to believe I’ve been on this earth for 43 years…. what a wonderful journey it has been with many lessons learned, some difficult, others remarkable and the people I’ve connected with along the way have mostly enriched my life in a such positive way! I’m looking forward to the next 43 years and all that they will bring…

Frozen Birdbath

Ice

It’s been really freezing here this past week! The bird bath froze almost every night and there was ice on the outside furniture!

Chickens

Our beautiful chickens have started laying eggs, the young ones have full-grown wattles and combs now and the older ones who were moulting have their new feathers. I just love them!!

Jen

Jen sitting with Miss Piggy, she is a gigantic Buff Orpington and eats everything in sight, she almost as heavy as Charlie (our cat) when we hold her (and he’s heavy!) 🙂

Eggs

Six eggs in one day! Love it, they are so much nicer than the free range shop bought eggs.

Stephanie Rabbit

My dear Stephanie, she’s snuck in to eat the chicken food while no one was watching.

Charlie Cat

Charlie cat sitting with Kye, they’re good friends.

Have a great Saturday and a lovely Solstice weekend!

The Dawki

Our three Sea Scouts

Yesterday was the Sea Scouts Sailing Regatta. Our three oldest were in attendance and loved every minute of it. Scouts has been so enriching for them and has taught them how to accomplish things we couldn’t have imagined. They can rig and de-rig sailboats, sail and tie all sorts of complicated knots from memory! When they’re out there on the water it’s like they are speaking a language only they can understand, it’s tremendous. I’m one proud mamma!
