I woke up to glorious rain this morning, a little later, the sun broke through the clouds and then thunderstorms ensued for the rest of the day. I love this weather, knitting weather… We have also just planted our first winter seeds, so the rain is very welcome. It’s evening here now and the thunder is still rolling around in the sky.
I went into the study and chose a skein of that Manos del Uruguay yarn that arrived last week. I felt it in my hands, so soft and beautiful… I wound it into a ball by hand, I love winding yarn into balls, it’s my meditation before starting a project.
A new cowl is in the making…
PS If you haven’t yet entered the lovely childrens’ audio stories giveaway from Sparkle Stories go here. They are amazing!

It’s beautiful!
I love the yarn – and the sunlight in the first pics!
Beautiful yarn…..can’t wait to see the cowl…
What a perfectly beautiful day! And that yarn is so very pretty.
I love knitting weather too, but as we move into spring, I am looking forward to less knitting weather and more bike riding weather! I have yet to figure out how I can knit and ride my bike at the same time. That might just have to wait for heaven. 🙂
Anxious to see the cowl from this beautiful yarn.
Your yarn is beautiful. Can’t wait to see the finished cowl. Hugs!
The yarn makes my hands hungry. Love the colors. LOVE
