Creative Friday

Thank you so much for your messages about Kye yesterday and today, he is looking much better, the fever is gone, he is still a little flushed but looking well.

I’m working on another Cotswold cowl, I’m really enjoying this colourway and can’t wait to put up the test knit on Ravelry.

All my orders have been posted off this morning and we’ll be taking my dear mom to lunch a little later, it would have been my dad’s 85th birthday tomorrow and we are all missing him so much, I can’t believe we’ve had two Christmases without him here with us, already…

Happy Friday!

Somehow I missed your previous post. I’m really glad to hear that Kye is feeling better. My Beast was similarly afflicted about a week ago. While I loved the snuggles, I’d have given anything to make him feel better.

    Also, that yarn? Gorgeous!

      Hi Melissa,
He is all better now, since then I caught the bug and have almost recovered fully. It is awful when our little ones are ill…
Pretty yarn hey, it’s by Colourspun.
      xx

Glad that Kye is feeling better!. The yarn you are using for the Coswald Cowl is beautiful. Is it one of Carle’s yarns or a Manos del Uruguay? The colourway?
My dear husband, James, and I baked a lot of different types of cookies this past week and made up gift plates of cookies along with some plum jam (from our plum tree) for all our neighbors and friends. Every year our neighborhood, which is a group of seven houses, trade plates of homemade goodies for each household. It has been an enjoyable holiday season. We are happy where we live. Very quiet, friendly neighborhood. We get together for parties throughout the year as well. I am the only knitter here and I am always asked to show the items that I have knitted. Adam really was in awe at the animals that I have made this past year. He gave both of the Narwahl Whales to two of his couplefriends that were having babies. Also he fell in love with one of the Pickles that I had made and the two hats of your pattern. I am so very glad that he loves the knitted items that I make and it is nice to keep him warm while he works on the farm.I just made myself a shawl which I am enjoying; the [Red Robin Shawl] (project) I look forward to my knitting projects of this coming year as well.

      Hi Joanne,
This is such pretty yarn, it’s dyed by another South African dyer, Dana of Colourspun.
Your neighbourhood sounds so lovely, such wonderful community and how nice that they want to see your knitted projects.
You are a very talented knitter.
      xx
