A warm welcome to my New November Sponsors:
We are Liz and Mike, a pair of soon to be off grid homesteaders, living in the northwoods of Wisconsin with a trio of wildly creative and beautiful unschooled boys, an English Setter called Bailey, and a reclusive black cat who wandered into the house a few years ago and never left.
In the shop you’ll find an ever changing variety of natural, sustainable products including our homemade soaps, tree branch buttons and ornaments, upcycled clothing, knitting patterns and hand dyed yarns.
If you’d like to join us for stories about creating, homeschooling, and our journey to homesteading, meet us under the old oak tree at The Sitting Tree.
Meryl from My Bit of Earth writes about chickens, babies, knitting, gardening, food, photography, and whatever else tickles her fancy on any given day.
A sweet etsy store stocking unique gifts, wearables & playthings. These are made using natural, local and upcycled materials – primarily from wool felt and timber.
Hinterland Mama’s creations are inspired by her children, Hinterland & Coastal surroundings and also by the beauty & warmth within Waldorf / Steiner education.
The little gnomes home is a blog about living a conscious, natural and simple life. Natalie is passionate about all things handmade, real food, beautiful photography, Steiner education and sustainable and organic living. The little gnomes home is a place to visit for some creative inspiration, thought provoking ideas on nutrition and natural living and insights into daily life as a mother of two children.
A Little Handmade was inspired by many things. Primarily, though, it has been inspired by my two lovely children. My husband is a stay-at-home-dad. After working all day, I would want to spend some quality time with my family doing a fun, relaxing activity, such as making a craft. Most nights, though, much of our time was spent gathering the things we would need to make something fun and worthwhile or trying to come up with something we’d all like to do. Through the suggestion of a friend, and a shining moment of epiphany, I thought how lovely it would be to have quality craft kits already put together for me and my family to enjoy! There were plenty of other kits out there, but they all had plastic parts and created items that would end up in the trash sometimes within the hour. I wanted something better, made with sustainability and the type of lifestyle we lead in mind. I wanted something that would resonate with the Waldorf-style home life we enjoy. A Little Handmade was born! I provide a monthly craft kit subscription, “themed” kit collections, and crafts and projects I’ve made in the process through my Etsy shop. I use natural materials, local materials, and organic when possible. I avoid plastic, polyfibers, and items that cannot be recycled. I hope you’ll stop by and take a peek!
