Weekending

We have had the most wonderful few days, Richard has been on leave from work and it has been lovely spending time with him… We went to Carols by Candlelight on Thurdsay evening, there was an amazing turn out of people and the rain managed to hold off long enough for us to have the most enjoyable time…

Our little African Christmas tree which stands on our dining room table. It was handmade by a local wire craftsman and we decorated it with a few ornaments, our other larger tree is in our lounge…

We have been working in our garden, clearing old plants to make space for vegetables, I will be planting this bed tomorrow with quite a few seeds in accordance with the Moon Planting and Biodynamic Guide.

We have also repaired our irrigation…

We have been having electrical stroms for most of the weekend, it has really been pouring, I love walking in the garden after the rain… and I am so excited to be walking the self-sustainable route by growing our own produce:)
Thanks for stopping by…

I love your little African tree. My family spent part of my childhood in africa too (though quite a different part from yours I think) and we have so many pictures of the amazing ways my parents found to create a christmas for my sister and me! Such lovely memories.

That striking yellow bloom. Wonderful. And the back patio with the deep, luxuriant green of your land. Lovely. We, too, are getting drenched with rain – I wonder if anyone has heard from Noah lately?
