The girls and I went to our favourite craft shop to buy some handwork supplies and they have been so busy sewing…
While we were at the craft shop the girls noticed that they were selling embroidery for little ones and they suggested we buy one for Caiden… Well, when we arrived home he was so excited, he opened the packaging immediately and started to sew…. He sewed all day and that night, eventually he went to sleep and as soon as he woke up he continued sewing, until at last later that day, he was finished! It was a wonderful process to witness, such concentration, completely absorbed in the task he was busy with…
Today his daddy had it framed…
Our sweet pet rabbits scratching around in their new straw…
A new addition has just emerged out of the nursery burrow…
Our candle and lamp lit dinner table…
My love, sitting with me in my workroom, reading while I sew…

I love the soft light of your dinner table do you notice a change in your children’s energy with the quiet ligt? We are farmer’s in training so can you clue me in what you do with the rabbits do you eat them?
I love how intent Caiden was with his project. So sweet! Your new lighting is beautiful! How calming to be in the workroom together by candlelight even when you’re working on separate tasks. I love it!
How sweet Caiden is with his stitching! I so enjoy seeing your family at their handwork.
Hi Angela,
Everyone has been a lot more calm with the soft light:) The rabbits are our pets, we don’t eat them. The straw and their droppings are put into our compost heap to help make rich compost. Thanks for stopping by…
Warmly Linda
Another utterly stunning post Linda. You are so inspiring to me!!!!
Oh I so thought of you last night, because the boys and I only used candles, and they actually carried a lantern around with them for light. Tonight we are setting up our tents in front of the fireplace for an evening of relaxation, and a little place to enjoy rest.
Hi dear Linda
How lovely that Caiden was so absorbed in his handwork. It is so lovely when our children get absorbed by an activity isn’t it. The concentration, focus and energy put into a project. Incredible!
My boys love your rabbit pictures. Have a lovely day in that sun. We pray we are back in Africa before the end of 2010….
Best wishes always
Fantastic job Caiden!
The bunny cuteness is overwhelming!
