Yarn Along

Jersey

I have a jersey that I knitted when I was 17, I love it but can’t find the pattern anywhere, it’s probably somewhere in my house but it’s well hidden. I decided to try and replicate the pattern but after knitting the rib I realised I couldn’t, so I started knitting something else that I thought would work and this is what I came up with… I’m really enjoying the pattern that’s emerging!

Whale, Camel, Hippo

I’m also busy working on some knitted toys that will soon be on their way to France and the USA. I just have one goat to go and then they’re ready! These patterns are all available here in my Etsy store.

On the reading front, I’m reading Farmer Boy to both of my boys, they are really enjoying it and ask me to please read another chapter each time I say I’m finished. It’s such a lovely book!

Happy knitting adventures đŸ™‚

Kye and Charlie

Gloves

I’ve been spinning some Wensleydale fibre for the Tour de Fleece, I love the long draw of Wensleydale, it’s so easy to spin up and fast too! Richard returned from Spain and the UK yesterday, it feels like he was away forever and it’s SO good to have him home again, the kids are thrilled to see their dad!

Kye loves to go out into the sun and jump on his trampoline, he goes out at least  five or six times a day to bounce and as soon as Charlie sees him going out, he races out to join him.

Jen’s camel silk gloves are coming along nicely, I chose the Treads, a Tipless Gloves Pattern, isn’t it gorgeous?? It’s a free pattern on Ravelry and I love it.

My Moulin Rouge Cowl test knit is going well, some beautiful yarns being knitted up into cowls!

Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Snowflake

I’ve been working on my huge Snowflake bunny pattern this week, she’s finished and will be going to her new home soon, I kind of love her though…

It’s been a freezing day here, winter seems to be well underway. It rained all night, which is unheard of this time of year in Gauteng, I’m so grateful though, that shower cleared the dust from our roof and gave our garden a good watering.

The weeks seem to be flying by, I can’t believe it’s almost June!

Have a great week:)

Swan

I’ve been busy with these little treasures this week. Yes, that is a blue swan that someone’s little one requested, I love knitting custom knits, they are always fun and special:) All these patterns can be found here on Ravelry.

What have you been knitting?

Oh yes, I am designing a large penguin pattern and I can’t wait for the test knit!

Happy Wednesday to you.
