Just thought I’d share my progress so far for the Panda. He’s knitted but I haven’t sewn anything on yet, his eyes and nose are pinned for me to get a better idea of where to place his arms. I’m going to cast on the arms and legs tomorrow and hopefully start the test knit soon.
Oh yes, he also needs a name, so if you have any ideas, please pop them in a comment, thanks!

How about Kai? ‘Cute’ in Chinese is pronounced something like ‘kuh-ai’, so the closest name would be Kai.
Don’t know if that is too close to home for you?
Lovely panda – I am hoping to test knit it for you, Linda.
My very ill 5yo just saw the photo and loves it. She wants one 🙂
My 10yo thinks ni-how would be a good name. It means hello in Chinese.
I love your panda design. I hope I can be part of the test knit.
Aww, so cute!
How about “Pookie” the panda :O)
or “Oreo” heehee!
adorable!!!! are you looking for test knitters? count me in, too, if you are!!!

Absolutely adorable – love pandas and watch the Live Cam of them at the San Diego Zoo — for hours!!
Ni-How sounds perfect to me, too!
I might have to make your panda …
TY for sharing so much with us.
Perry the Panda jumps out at me. I know it isn’t a chinese name, but I like the alliteraton. Cute panda!
Your panda is looking fantastic. Can’t wait to see what he looks like finished 🙂
