Creative Friday

Hello friends,

I’m sitting on our bed writing this post from our seaside holiday apartment looking out over the ocean… I can see whales splashing far out in the distance, I feel so privileged that they are giving us these beautiful sightings, like they are saying ‘hello’… My internet connection is not the greatest here but I am so happy to be able to write in this space and share a little about what we’ve been up to and I’ll have to be quick before I’m disconnected!

We’ve been going to the beach everyday and searching for treasures, sea glass and beautiful shells. The weather is changing and rain is forecast for the next few days, I’m really hoping this changes. Today we visited a croc farm and we learned so many interesting facts about these creatures.

I’m inspired to design a Narwhal now that we are here by the sea and I though this lovely Manos wool Richard gifted me with for my birthday would be perfect! What do you think?

I hope your week has been wonderful and that you have a restful weekend.

PS Congratulations to Kathleen for winning the knitted bunny from my lovely sponsor Simply Playing.

That yarn is positively delightful! I have just cast on a new knitting project after a 6 or 7 month break and am rediscovering the beauty of natural fibers. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve linked up a recycling project today…it’s made of tissue boxes.

How nice! I’m glad to see you have made it to the ocean and are enjoying yourself.
There is something about being near the sea that is refreshing and calming. I just love it when I can go.
Love that shade of yarn. Should prove to be a nice shade for the whale.
