Yesterday we travelled to the University of Johannesburg for Caiden’s first hockey tournament. We were there for five and a half hours, he played 5 matches and really enjoyed being part of a team. We are all so proud of him! Today he has stiff and aching muscles but says he can’t wait for practise next Saturday. I am so thrilled he has found a sport that he loves.
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.
Field hockey? I used to play field hockey..long long time ago. Good for him!!
This Sunday, we are busy playing with our wild but learning pony, and working on the desert tortoise habitat. Summer is almost here in our part of the world!!
congratulations caiden! he looks a pro in his uniform!
He looks so proud in his uniform with his stick-I played in junior high in 1970; goalie position is common when one is tall and athletic-looking. Wonderful that he is enjoying the game-lots of ways to go with sports background.
Love the uniform – no wonder he looks proud, he looks sharp. Is that a heart up at the top?
I never learned field hockey even though it was supposedly an acceptable gym class in my all- girls high school in the early 50’s. The school was along the shores of Lake Michigan and the winds coming in made playing outdoor sports less than comfortable in our thin cotton, one-piece bloomer-like gym suits. We we a sight to behold, shivering and turning a blue that almost matched the suits.
