Thank You and an Update

Thank you for all your heart-felt messages for my father and our family. I cannot tell you how much this means to me! Your words have given me such strength and support. I am very blessed and so incredibly grateful to know that there are prayers being said all over the world for my dad for his recovery and healing thoughts being sent his way.

This morning was particularly hard, when my mom and I visited him, he was sleeping and the hospital staff and doctor told us that they have been unable to wake him today. The possible reason could be another seizure or brain bleed. We are still awaiting the outcome of today’s MRI. I am hoping and praying for the best…

When his doctor was talking to me, I could feel the tears  in my eyes, Erin was with me and I decided I wasn’t going to cry, not yet, please, I need to believe for now that all is going to be well and that he will be with us again…

I did cry when I got home, someone asked me how everything was and the realisation hit me that perhaps he may not make it…

I have had a few emails asking my dad’s name for prayers, his name is Bryan

Thank you all, I am strong, I am hoping, I am praying…

Praying for your all — sing songs/read stories/hold his hand/he will hear you.
My Father did during IC of 4 weeks following serious head injury — healing
    & medical care takes time.

Father in the precious Name of your Son i lift up Bryan to you and thank you that your healing power is the same yesterday today and forever. i thank you that it is Your will that all should be healed and we receive that healing for Bryan in faith! we command his blood vessels and veins and arteries and his brain to come into submission to Your Word. we command that there be no residual damage from any stroke. we command his body to come into complete healing and to be raised up in power and wellness by the Power given to us by what Jesus did on the cross! we speak to the seizures and say you must release your hold, you have NO authority over Bryan or his body. Father we thank you in faith for the good report of his restoration. and i speak peace over all his family as they wait for his complete restoration. Holy Spirit guide them into revelation knowledge of the promises of God that they be strengthend in their inner man and be raised up in faith!! Faith that can move mountains. Remind them that the words of faith and the words of their mouths have Power!! the same exact Power that created the world with just a word! i speak long life and wellness for Bryan and every one of these family members in Jesus’ Name! amen

I had some good, hard crying sessions when my father was failing. I needed that, and I think it was good to get it all out of my system. You might need to explain to others that you need to be alone for a while till it’s done, and not to fret over you. It’s better than bottling up your emotions and trying to keep a stiff upper lip. I also found I needed to think through a range of emotions and thoughts about our relationship, so that I could accept the situation, whenever that might happen. It’s good to look at things from all perspectives, little by little, and work through things slowly but purposefully.

I am thinking about this – about how the world sometimes seems insane. Almost hopelessly out of control – the selfishness of nations and of individuals who don’t seem to understand the reality of other people. Then I look at these huge lists of comments, and so many that mention prayer, and I think that there are more people on this planet who nurture their connection to God than it seems. I believe in the power of prayer. But Linda, sometimes the will of the Father doesn’t line up with what we want. And in that case, we have to trust him. The phrase, “Thy will be done” is a chancy one – but wise. Because I have prayed for things, begging that they be my way, regardless of the cost, and learned in the end that the cost was greater than I could pay—that giving me what I wanted caused pain for another. So now, I trust the Lord who knows the whole story, who sees the ripples that come of individual circumstance.

Love is not peculiar to this earth. It fills the eternities, and it never fails – not ever. And we are real, and what makes us ourselves is eternal – I believe this, too. That in these earth bodies or out, we continue to love the ones precious to us, and watch over them and guide them and protect them. So whatever happens, you will never lose your father. No matter what.

I will pray for his healing, and pray for your hearts, too – strong is good, but tears are also good. Your tears will not change the circumstance, but they will help balance the stress that fear and worry put on you. Thus, they comfort.

I wish I could do more.

And by the way, even if I didn’t know his name, the Lord would know who I meant when I say “Linda’s daddy,” because he knows who I mean when I say “Linda.” He hears enough from me about you.
