Today I have been designing and knitting Spirit, he is a white wolf. I have always wanted to add a wolf to my menagerie of animal knitting patterns and now here he is!
He is knitted both flat and in the round, if you prefer knitting flat, there are additional instructions added in the pattern for flat knitting. I have knitted him in a brushed Mohair yarn which is pliable and gives him a furry wolf appearance.
His pattern is available in my Etsy shop Mamma4earth.

i love him, his name is perfect linda, and the mohair suits him beautifully! and i agree with marie 🙂
I bought 5 of your patterns about a week ago. Right now I am having fun with the dolphin. Next is the elephant. I’d love to add the wolf to the managerie. Your ability to create these beautiful creatures is amazing. Thanks for offering a giveaway.
Spirit is too cute!! I love your blog, your energy is amazing!! Thanks for offering a giveaway!!
he’s so cute, i had never seen a knitted wolf pattern before! 🙂
beautiful! And I love the name Spirit, it’s very fitting.
I love “Spirit” & the yarn is PERFECT for him. My 2 year old grand-daughter loves wolves & would be quite fond of him. Thank you for a chance to win a copy of the pattern.
Love this wolf!! I have made several of your creations as gifts for friends, everyone loves your designs! Spirit is a fantastic name for him!
Oh he (or is it she?) is so cute. My grandson would love this.
I look forward to seeing what is going on in your family. My favorite are the flowers. Thanks for your postings.
Thank you for the giveaway. My granddaughter was passing by the computer and saw the photo. She added the White Wolf to her wish list. I agree with Jennifer, love the name Spirit.
My son is absolutely mad about wolves and huskies. He is slowly wearing me down about the husky, but I am trying to hold the line at present. I think if I could knit him a wolf it would give a few months dogfree breathing space. I’m a cat person!
He’s wonderful!!!! as are all your patterns!!! Thanks for the chance to win.
Your wolf is adorable and very sweet (hard to believe those are words to describe a wolf). I think your pattern would also be very versatile and easily adapted to a variety of dog breeds. Hope I win.
Linda
Another really cute pattern. Would love to win it. lyn.robyn.smith@gmail .com

Ah! I have always wanted to knit a wolf and make a Red Riding Hood play set! Love it! Spirit is beautiful!!! XO
Another cutie! He’s gorgeous.
Spirit, be still my heart! Yet another creative genius … I think you should have a television show called ‘Creative Genius’ since there is one about desserts that is called ‘Sweet Genius.’
You’re amazing and I am so grateful that you share so much of yourself.
Another great pattern! I still hope you will consider a Highland Cow. They have so much personality and I bet you would really capture that!
Love the wolf pattern/your creation. Thanks for the opportunity to possibly win it!
How lovely is Spirit, Linda, you are so talented, your animals always have such a lifelike look to them, xxBrenda
This is so cool! I’d love to make this cute little wolf : D
Spirit has such character, I love him!
He’s a lovely character, full of good spirit….just perfect!
He is a lovely wolf- In first nations culture white animals(that are usually not white- like spirit bears and buffalo) are veiwed with great respect being the incarnation of the spirits so he in also aptly named.
Beautiful Linda, well done. He exudes the spirit of wolf.
Great stories, great updates and love all your projects and patterns 🙂 How do you come up with these adorable and realistic patterns! What a wonderful talent you have! Spirit is adorable!
I would absolutely love to win one of your adorable animal patterns … too divine!
Thanks,
Sarah (in Canada)
Your patterns continue to amaze me! You are so talented!

So cute! love the fuzzy yarn!
Oh, Linda! You are a sculptor. I know we use almost the same pattern for each 4 footed nearly-domesticated animal, but you change them every time in subtle (read: only an artist could make these changes) way that gives the animal a very real spirit of its animal in the real world self. His face is marvelous – and his proportions. I am so sad I didn’t see him in time to throw in my lot, but I’m due to buy more from you. I’ll have to catalogue what I’ve got already –
It’s amazing! You have ture talent! I’m a kid and i wish somday i could make this. I am a wolf lover and iam currently taking crochet lessons at 4-h. I would love to see all your work and keep it up!
Is it possible to buy this pattern?

Sigh. Would love to have 25 of these for my students, but alas, I don’t knit. 🙁
