Apple Cozy / Jacket Knitting Pattern Tutorial

This was such a fun little project to knit up:) So quick using oddments of yarn…

This week is my Mamma4earth Etsy shop’s three year birthday, so I would like to share this apple cozy pattern with you to celebrate and because you are all so very kind to take the time to visit this spot and leave such heart warming words for me.

Enjoy the pattern:)

Bind off

From row 16 you are no longer knitting in the round, you are just knitting back and forth in rows as seen in the above photo.

Once you have cast off, pick up 2 stitches with your double pointed needles and knit an i-cord for a loop about 2 and a half inches long. (Just measure once you have sewn on your button to make sure of the length).

Sew the i-cord on to the top of the cozy where you picked up the 2 stitches and make a loop.

Sew in all your ends, sew on a sweet button opposite the loop, place an apple into your cozy and fasten the loop:)

You are finished!
Happy knitting
