Today we are finishing off Jenna’s Block on India. She has been busy with it for four weeks and we will then move on to a four week Block of Botany. We have enjoyed India and we have posted some of Jenna’s art for Ancient India for you to see. Erin is finishing her first Old Testament Block and will be moving on to a practical Farming and Building Block, will post Erin’s drawings in the next few days.

We all took turns walking the grapes, even our two year old decided to have a go!

First we all pitched in and harvested all the grapes we could pick. Then we had to wash and remove any rotten ones. We also found lots of spiders that we just gathered up and returned to the garden.

1st of March 08,

Our grape harvest ready to be stamped for our first attempt at wine making.

Today the children rose early because it was harvest day for our grapes. We bought a wine making kit this week and these grapes were the best we have ever had on our vines. We were all so excited and loved squashing the grapes with our feet. So we’ll see how we go.
