Real Meal Revolution

I’m almost finished the cowl I’ve been working on, I love this yarn, and the colour. It’s a nice easy pattern and once you get into the rhythm, it becomes a wonderful meditation, repeating round after round, producing a lovely textured piece. I can’t wait to put this up on the test knit group. My flu is almost gone, thank goodness and now I can get back to focussing on my knitting. Oh yes, before I forget, the yarn is from Nurturing Fibres, it’s called Moulin Rouge, double knit singles.  I think the name and the colour compliment one another well.

I’ve been reading aloud to Kye from these books above, they were my readers when I was in primary school. Does anyone remember these books?? They are so sweet. How can it be so long ago already?

I’m reading Real Meal Revolution again, it’s very interesting and informative. I want to improve the general health of our family. We’ve all been really ill lately and I do feel strongly that the food we eat has a direct impact on overall health.

Joining with Ginny today.

Your yarn is beautiful! I like that pattern. I remember those primers from when I was in school. Wow – talk about a blast from the past. I loved those.

Hmm. I need some help in the meal department too. Summer is a tough time for me to keep everyone on track it seems. Beautiful cowl too:)

The cowl looks awesome! I love an easy pattern, and I really love knitting cowls, especially for my kiddos (they don’t seem to keep the scarves on that I make for them). I haven’t heard of Real Meal Revolution, but I will have to check it out. We are a whole foods family, and I definitely notice when I slack off a bit and we are eating take out of buying pre-made stuff at the store how much our health suffers. It is so hard to constantly do all that from scratch cooking…but it gets easier after a while. And then you get into a rhythm eventually (at least that is what I am hoping!).

I really like that yarn color! The book sounds intriguing as well. Thank you for the suggestion.
