Snowflake

I’ve been working on my huge Snowflake bunny pattern this week, she’s finished and will be going to her new home soon, I kind of love her though…

It’s been a freezing day here, winter seems to be well underway. It rained all night, which is unheard of this time of year in Gauteng, I’m so grateful though, that shower cleared the dust from our roof and gave our garden a good watering.

The weeks seem to be flying by, I can’t believe it’s almost June!

Have a great week:)

You have such an eye for the proportions and spirit of the animals you create! When I was a little girl I had a white muslin stuffed bunny some kind soul had stitched for me. It had round red button eyes, and I LOVED it. Like The Velveteen Rabbit, I tossed it aside at some point, but it never surfaced again, much to my dismay. I’ve thought of it often over the last 60 years. Snowflake evokes more than just aesthetic pleasure, so I think I will have to buy your pattern, even though I don’t have a lot of faith that it will turn out as successfully as your beautiful model. Thank you for sharing your extraordinary gifts. I never fail to read your blog.

Thank you Nancy. Your little bunny sounds like such a treasure, I’m so happy Snowflake has brought back these memories for you and I’m sure your project will turn out beautifully.
Thanks for taking the time to visit here.

Your little bunny is perfect! I used to have 3 bunnies…2 black dutch and one white,,well now I forget her breed, but those little guys were great “children” after mine left home! You have captured the spirit of bunnies in your talent!

Thank you Cheri, we still have 5 little bunnies that run around all over our garden. They are precious and I just love seeing them on the lawn in the mornings, so free and happy. I had to knit one:)

so so cute, mama and baby bunny. did you use the small bunny pattern and up to a bulky yarn ?

    • Linda May 22, 2014 at 9:22 am #

      Hi Angelina,
      Thanks:)
I actually designed a completely new pattern and knitted Snowflake in the same aran weight brushed mohair yarn.

Your bunnies are adorable. I can understand why you would be reluctant to let them go. I am sure they will be well loved where ever they are.

Your bunnies are adorable. I thought they were real in the little picture on Yarn Along. Wonderful.
