Our Week

Charlie Po

Guinea Fowl Photo

It has been a week of illness here, both the girls have had flu and Erin also had a tummy bug. The weather has changed almost overnight from summer to winter and we already have our fires going. I need to bring all the warm knitted socks and hats out from storage and also start knitting a few more.

My Guinea fowls are finally finished and will be on their way to their new home soon. We are back into the busy business of homeschooling, extra murals and lessons. So many assignments are due in May and the exam series starts again in June, our new teacher has started and she is wonderful!

Oh yes, I just had to run and fetch my camera when I walked into our school this morning and discovered our very large Charlie had wedged himself, quite comfortably into this tiny shoebox. He is incredibly happy and snug and hardly even noticed me right in front of him taking pics. Too cute!

Hope your week has been lovely so far!

Your week sounds so so much like mine. As I type this, the cat is wedged into a box in my home office. It’s the first day this week with everyone back at school and work after battling earaches, eye problems, colds, flus, and to top it all off…kidney stones. Tomorrow, I promise myself, it’s time to pick the knitting needles back up to finish off some small projects. Thanks for sharing!

Hope you and your family are fine, changing seasons does not always feel comfortable.
Love to see your cat Charlie, the photos remind me of Maru with his love for boxes.

Loved the picture of Charlie relaxing. He looks so comfortable. I really enjoy the pictures of your garden, animals and family and a glimpse of South Africa. I am living in the desert of California now, in Palm Springs. Have a great knitting group at a Senior Center here. You are such a talented designer. Keep up the good work. Blessings, Barbara
