I’ve been working on a Narwhal pattern over the weekend, they are such beautiful creatures and since we’ve just returned from the ocean, I’m still very inspired to knit and finish designing him soon. There will be a test knit starting on my Ravelry group for him in the next few days, oh yes, he needs a name, any suggestions??
PS If you are a cat person, (we have 3) you will Love these You Tube videos called Simon’s Cat.

I think he looks a bit like a Norman
Thanks Cara, I like the name Norman:)
My first thought was norman too! lol
🙂
Maybe Nico or Norton.
Norton is lovely Sherry:)
How about Tusky?
Pam, Trusky the Narwhal is so sweet.
All these names are wonderful!
I can’t wait to hear more.
🙂
I like Nathan – or Nathanielle if it’s a girl!
How about Simon? There is a bit in Gangnam Style that my youngest son insists is ‘Simon the Narwhal’ so for me, he will be Simon!
Love your holiday photos, sounds like you had an amazing vacation,
DS and I have been big fans of Simon’s Cat for a while. I never tire of rewatching them!
Thanks – ou have managed to get me hooked on Simon’s Cat which I have been watching for over an hour. Now I’ll never get my email read.
HI Linda,
No matter what you name it, your narwhal is adorable. I’m always amazed at your beautiful yarn!
Have a great week, Lori
Thank you Lori!
🙂
Wally!
How about Nemo?
Goodness, with all these lovely name suggestions, it’s going to be difficult to choose:)
Thanks everyone!

Norman would be a most appropriate name. The narwhal is an Artic whale and Norman’s Bay is on the Newfoundland and Labrador coast. Eskimos in Alaska, Canada and Greenland hunt have valued the narwhal for many a moon.
Nemo, in my mind, is a clown fish. I could never identify with a Narwhal named Nemo.
I have a friend name Nari, and this just sounds like an appropriate narwhal name to me. It is a Japanese girl’s name, but I think ~15% of female narwhals have tusks, so it might work. I knit some narwhals from a different pattern and loved them so much I had to make three; I can’t wait to knit some with your pattern!
What a cool project, I love the colorway!
