Creative Friday

Wool 001

Wool 002

Oh, it’s so exciting when a yarn package arrives, isn’t it!! This is what arrived recently, all bought from Natural Yarns.

I’ve been thinking about designing another whale pattern and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a Narwhal, they are such beautiful creatures, that blue above might just be the right colour. He will be a big fella, I can’t wait to start designing him, not sure if knitters would like to knit a Narwhal but I’m keen to make one.

It’s a really freezing day here today so far in Johannesburg, I hope the weather improves over the weekend, the boys have hockey in tomorrow morning.

Well, have a wonderful weekend, I’ll be offering a giveaway over at lovely Stephinie’s blog tomorrow Gypsy Forest, so pop over there if you have a chance.

PS I have a special running for Pickles the Cat’s pattern on Ravelry for the next few days only. He pattern is selling for $3.50 instead of $5.00! Coupon Code: Pickles

Yes, please, for the narwhal! I’ve knitted three of them with Rebecca Danger’s pattern, but would really like to knit a new and different narwhal. That blue look perfect.

The yarn looks so soft and pretty. It would be lovely for dollhair! I may just have to get some.

A narwhal would be a good addition to your whale family. Afterall, they are an endangered species — the unicorn of whales! Count me in for a pattern purchase!
