Carle’ over at Nurturing Fibres is generously offering her Sunny Days Shawlette pattern as a free pattern for May only, so I popped over to her blog and used the coupon code on Ravelry and downloaded the pattern for free! This is so exciting! I know she will be posting about a KAL for this shawlette a little later today… I have already cast on:)
I am knitting my shawl in Nurturing Fibres super-twist sock yarn in the colourway Cape Columbine, such a stunning blue… I really love wearing shawls, they have the ability to turn a simple and plain outfit into something elegant and dressy.
At the moment I am reading Free Range Knitter by Stephanie Pearl-Mcphee on my i-pad, I just couldn’t help myself after reading her last book. I really LOVE that I can download a book instantly to my i-pad, I do enjoy the feel of books in my hands but I am also quite impatient and if I see a wonderful book, sometimes, I really need to have it ‘now’!

The shawl looks wonderful. The CHICKENS are darling.
