It’s been very quiet in this space. Jen has been extremely ill with migraines recurring since Sunday and muscle spasms in her back. We have been to see our doctor and chiropractor a few times over the last few days. She injured her back whilst rowing at scouts and now has flu. The migraines have been caused by her back spasms. It has been hectic and scary, I have been so worried about her. Finally, today she seems to be recovering, the pain in her head has almost gone and just the flu symptoms remain. It has been a long and exhausting week, migraines aren’t for the feint-hearted I might add! Her mid-year exams start next week too, the poor thing! If you have a moment, please send some healing thoughts her way…See you tomorrow for Creative Friday.

Oh, sorry to hear about your tough week. I’ll send a prayer for restored health your way for Jen and a break from the exhaustion for you.
Thank you so much Pam:)
Healing thoughts coming your way for Jen. I know how migraines are as my mom suffered from them – not pleasant at all.
Thanks Nance:)
hugs for you all

I’m sorry you and Jen are struggling. If you don’t already know about Traumeel, you should look it up and get some for your first aid kit. It will help Jen’s back heal and help reduce the headache pain. I recommend you have both the cream and the tincture. My family hasn’t used any other anti-inflammatory or pain killer in at least 10 years. It works for migraines (I suffered with them for decades and wasted time trying just about every drug possible to escape the blinding pain), torn muscles, bumps, bruises, broken teeth, bee stings… the list is long. Feel better soon.
Becca, thank you so much for this! I will go searching for it, it sounds amazing!!
sending every healing thought I can muster
Thank you Jennifer:)

I was just listening to a story on the BBC about Ecuador’s paraplegic Vice President Lenin Moreno who uses laughter as medicine. He says it was the only thing that worked to relieve the pain of being shot in the back. Sounds odd, but worth a try. If you do a web search, I’m sure you can find links to his books and videos. Hugs to all.
Thank you Jusa, laughter is a wonderful medicine:)
Well, my head came up out of the water at least in time to see this. And prayers will be sent your way, without a doubt. I used to get migraines every month – a hormonal thing, somehow, often triggered by bright light. I have never been more miserable. And my own daughter, who is trying to get through finals week with her students and move her household across town, has been doing it all through a haze of the same thing – brought about, I’m certain, by stress. These headaches are the deepest pain I have ever felt. Bless her heart.
Thank you dear friend! Your poor daughter must be battling so. I do hope she feels better soon, I also get them from time to time and the pain is unbearable. I am so thankful to not have had one for a while. Thank you for your prayers for Jen and we’ll send some back for your daughter and you.
