Arcitc Ice Cowl6

Arctic Ice Cowl7

Arctic Ice Cowl8

This is my new Arctic Ice Cowl design, Erie was kind enough to model it for me. I’ve knitted it in Nurturing Fibres Spaghetti Aran Weight Yarn on 6mm needles and used about a skein and a half of yarn. Each skein has 130 metres / 143 yards. It’s really warm and squishy and can be wrapped twice or thrice around the neck.

I have opened the test knit thread on my Ravelry group, there are only 10 spaces available for test knitters, so if you would like to test knit this cowl, pop over there to join:) See you there!

Oaklet Shawl Blocking

Oaklet Shawl Blocking1

I’m blocking my Oaklet shawl today, it’s not too sunny outside so the weather is perfect, this was such a pretty pattern to knit.

Hope your day is lovely.

Do we need to block the cowl? I’ve made one that was fine without it, but I have one that’s all curled up.

Love the texture in that pattern! If I weren’t the world’s slowest knitter, I’d jump at a test knit spot.

Funny – when I looked at the colorway, I thought, “How perfect for spring!” Then I became confused, remembering that our seasons are flipped. Then I saw what you had called it. I was thinking, “wild violets.” Either way, it’s lovely!!
