A task for tomorrow…

Corriedale Crosses1

Today was a very productive day, I tackled my wool room, it’s really been in a bit of a state lately. I pulled everything out of the cupboards, threw away and re-purposed a lot of stuff. I found plenty of things I had forgotten I even owned!! So it was a really good exercise all round.

I am also going to take out my spinning wheel tomorrow and start spinning up this gorgeous roving I received in a swap from the lovely Sara who used to blog over at Farmmama. It’s beautiful fibre from her own sheep, they are Corriedale Crosses, some black and some white. She had the mill card the black and white together. I think it’s just gorgeous! I can’t wait to start spinning it up!

OH! MY! I would LOVE to have even a 1/4 of what you have in your wool room. Last May I purchased 3 lbs of Shetland wool and I still have a bunch of that left. I think it’s time to spin that up and get a new fleece or two!

A wool ROOM?!? Wow! I am soooo jealous! I could come shopping just in your wool room.

It looks lovely and tidy now – very inviting to come and choose some wool for a new project.

Ahh your wool room! and all that yarn…
My local yarn/sewing shop doesn’t even have that much.
Can’t wait to see the spun yarn, do you have an idea of what you will make with it later?

What a lovely lot of wool, and very sensible to have it bagged. I keep my wool in three baskets, but every so often I have a little worry about moths.

Great work! I find it so energizing to organize my crafty materials, I could do that all day. The rest of the house…not so much ;)

Hope. Your clean shelves look like hope. I am afraid I will never achieve order – no matter how many zip bags I use. Your finished product is LOVELY.
