This morning started with a long walk down to our pan and back home again with my mom, I really enjoy spending this time with her, it gives us a chance to chat and exercise and see the beautiful water birds that inhabit our area. I must take my camera with next time it’s so lovely out there. I’ve been working on a few custom orders over the last few weeks, an Ellie, Giraffe and a rainbow Horse. I’m almost ready to send them off…
Last night our little Kye was invested into his cub pack, oh my the excitement of it all. I’m so proud of him, just look how his face lights up as his Arkela pins his new badges onto his shirt. It was an equally special day because it was his birthday and he shares the same birthday with the founder of the scout movement, Robert Baden-Powell.
You must excuse the not-too-wonderful photo but this mama was a little overcome with joy and happiness seeing the youngest of her brood standing up there and being so proud to be a part of it all…
Wishing you a lovely weekend.

What an exciting day for your young man – birthday and investiture!
Congratulations to Kye
A very cute picture of your son! He looks so proud! Cute giraffe!
The picture of him looking up to his leader…priceless!

Congratulations to you all and Happy Birthday to Kye!
Look at your beautiful cherub. They grow so fast don’t they?
We are so eagerly awaiting my eldest reaching the age he can join Scouts!
I can relate – I know just how proud I’ll be. He’s such a nature boy x
I think it is required of all scouting pictures to be slightly blurred and less than satisfactory. All mine were – for both boys, for all years – including the Eagle. At least, all mine were. Yours is FAR better than most.
