Have I ever mentioned how much we LOVE our chickens?
I know I have, just kidding:)
Everyday we go and visit them, sit with them and just watch them really, they have such sweet characters, each and every one. They all have names and follow us around the garden, Erin loves to sit on the grass with them. Today she looked up at me and said, “Mom, you just don’t know how much I love our chickens!” I know how she feels…

we just got our first chickens a few months back nd we are SO attached to them. They are the best
Your chickens are so pretty! We have a yard full, too. They are just such a joy. I’ve got 4 broodies right now…… we don’t need more chickens. But I just love watching the mamas with the babies. I’m very thankful for an understanding husband who expanded my coop this year. I just can’t imagine not having chickens pecking around. I LOVE the last picture of your daughter with your girls. Such a great shot!
I think that is the way it should be. God’s creaatures are so special. I love reading about your feathered family. My cousin lives in a multi-million dollar home and has 2 chickens that live inside with them. The one has just starting laying blue eggs. The other is still to young. They have an outside coop, but, love to snuggle on my cousin’s lap and on his shoulder.
I just got my 10th turtle. I am TOTALLY in love. I no longer watch tv. I sit in the evening and listen to the water in their tank and watch them swim. The HUGE turtle loves to be be held and hand fed. Her name is Shirlie and she is probably about 10 years old.
What fun our animals are.
I feel the same way about my horses. And I sit in the grass with them, too.
linda you make me wish for chickens!
Mmmh, I know the feeling Linda. We have 10 girls and I love hearing them talk to each other all day. My son is the “chicken boy” and we often find him sitting in their large run with one on his lap.
Maybe your next pattern? Chickens! Love chickens, they are so wonderful for children as pets.
