She is finished at last, please meet Miss Rebecca, the swan…
Such an elegant lady, as she glides up and down the pond…
I have knitted her in double knitting wool with 4mm needles. She is knitted in the round, I have used the magic loop technique, but DPNs (double pointed needles would be perfect too) Her beak is woven onto a loop on her head. The pattern has plenty of photos to guide you through the creative process.
Her pattern is avaliable on my Etsy shop and I will be uploading it to my Ravelry and Craftsy stores soon too.
Have a magical day
Warmly
LindaPS if you would like to win a Swan pattern, leave a comment and I will choose a winner tomorrow xo
Congratulations to:
Oh my Lord! All of your creations are beautiful but this swan is magnificent. How I would love to try this thank you for the chance to win.
Linda, your talent is endless! Miss Rebecca is quite lovely!
I hope you have a magical day too.
Thank you so much Tracey.
dear linda, you are a genius, this is the preetiest swan i’ve ever seen. she’s even smiling! well done once again, amazing mama, your talent really is endless. soon, i will actually have to knit some of your patterns instead of just admiring!
xxx lori
Lori, you are so kind, thank you very much xo
Miss Rebecca is so graceful. I must make her for my ex-husband’s new wife. They have a cottage and there are swans on the lake. She will look so pretty sitting on the table. Linda, you never cease to amaze me with your creations.
barb
Barb, thank you so much! I have emailed your patterns off to you tonight, happy knitting and do post photos when you are finished, I would love to see how they turn out:)
Absolutely gorgeous… Wow!
Thank you:)
Simply beautiful and very graceful, Linda. You always manage to capture the character of the animal so very well. Happy day to you!
Oh yes I would love to win such elegancy ! beautiful work.
count me in, please.
Another fantastic creation Linda, very graceful x
Everytime you put out another of your animal patterns it just drives me crazy! I’m in awe of how you ‘see’ an animal and then manipulate the stitches to be so RIGHT!! Your swan is as wonderful as all of the rest of you creations.
Blessings, Debbie
your swan is absolutely gorgeous, i adore swans! ☺ your patterns are fabulous (but my knitting abilities are unfortunately not sufficient for such art) regards, dana
So elegant. I really love your little knit animal friends. I have made a few and it is great to see my girls play with them! Thank you!
I’m in the midst of a mamma4earth pattern knitting marathon, and now you’ve done gone and got me wanting MORE patterns!
She’s just like that. She can’t help herself.
Linda, I am in love with Miss Rebecca. I am still working on some penguins (hoping to post the completed project on the next stash bash update at the end of the month) and then it is hedgehogs, but then OH YES THEN I will be back for the swan (unless of course I win her tomorrow * smiles*)
Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us.
Darling!! Her little wings turned out perfect! You’ve so much talent!!!
What a beautiful swan! Thanks so much for a lovely interlude in my day.
Well, I just bought yarn for the Suffolk sheep and the colors would match…so, I could use a pattern for Miss Rebecca!
Do it. we can talk you through magic loop. It’s a little complex, but it’s doable. But make your sheep first.
She’s BEAUTIFUL! I truly admire your talent and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!
Oh my Lord! All of your creations are beautiful but this swan is magnificent. How I would love to try this thank you for the chance to win.
Your patterns never fail to impress!
I am intrigued by how you said you did the beak. “Her beak is woven onto a loop on her head.” I will have to get this pattern even if I don’t make it right away just to see how the beak was done!!!
Amazing! I love your swan and even though I am just learning to knit I would love to try this pattern. You are very creative with all of your patterns.
Your animal patterns are absolutely gorgeous! I’d love to see your creative process as you design them.
I really want to knit some of these for my classmates at the ballet! I think it is the best little mini something for them!

Your swan pattern is beautiful as usual. I’m always amazed by your creations
The clever girl, at it again. Honey – what lovely lines you have given her. The curves of the wing are just eloquent. And, of course, you not only capture the character, but add just enough detail to make the design delicious. Wonderful.
