Father and Son
We have had a lovely Saturday, we were busy most of the morning with shopping, I have been slowly gathering all my ingredients and materials for the cold processed soap making. I found some candy thermometers and I have my oils ready. We came home and Richard and Kye baked banana bread together, it was so sweet watching the two of them mixing and eating the ingredients… It was a special time… If you would like to make the recipe go here.
Well, now I am off to the kitchen to attempt my first soap batch from scratch, I am a little nervous but Richard is there to lend a helping hand, wish me luck! I will let you know how it all turns out soon.

Would you believe that I am seating here with a cup of tea and a slice of banana bread baked this afternoon with my daughter… using your recipe! We both enjoy liking the bowl and spoon after.
Its the 3rd time I’ve made this bread and it comes out perfect every time!
Hope the soap turns out great!
PERFECT Banana bread. You have made me remember my mama. And I can remember the smell of that bread in her kitchen. Ah – may I have a slice? Hot and with butter?
awww…what a blessing to have your boys doing some baking together *heart*
PS…I’ve been soap-making over the weekend too. I look forward to seeing pics of yours. 🙂
that’s so sweet, and kye is just adorable. we love banana bread too, my recipe (i have 2 different ones i use) is almost the same as yours. sometimes i add walnuts, and i use half regular flour and half cake or whole wheat. yours looks delicious.
have fun making the soap. 🙂
