Resting Quietly…

The flu has found its way into our home once again, our littlest one, Kye, is ill… He woke this morning coughing, with a very high fever…. his sisters and brother have made him a comfy, soft bed in the library where he can be close to all of us and we have a fire warming the room. He is surrounded with love… He seems so small lying here, even though he is five…
Today will be a restful day of peacefulness to help this little person heal…
It might be quiet here, in this space, for a few days…

****Kye Update****
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments about Kye yesterday, I really appreciate them:) He is much better today, still a little flat but much more like himself:)
Love to all
Linda

How lovely that his brother and sisters are rallying around to make him feel better. Hope he gets well soon, there is nothing worse than being sick especially when you are so little with less reserves xx

Oh my, even though these days are hard, it must bring you joy to see the love that your children have for each other. Sending some healing thoughts.

I find it strange that a face can be at such peace as the systems behind it work frantically to cure what is wrong. He’s beautiful in his sleep. Aren’t they always? But K has a special beauty. Make sure he gets lots of liquids. I think immediately of ice pops – but that’s because today is the first day of summer for us (though not all that warm). But clear soups are best. And I believe that Jewish mothers know something – real chicken soup has magic in it.

A quiet day will be good for everyone. I will bind my prayers with Donna’s and we will be knocking on heaven’s door.

You never really realise how busy, noisy, and active your children are until they’re ill…and miraculously, you find yourself missing their busy noise. Blessings and healing from our home to yours, across the sea.
