Black and White Wednesday and WIP Wednesday…

Black and White Wednesday is fast becoming a lot of fun, I am so thrilled that some of you have been taking part:) This special boy below is Charlie. He is extremely sweet and more human than cat. I swear he seems to understand us when we talk to him and looks right into our eyes with such understanding… He is Erin’s cat and he adores her… He is so clever, he will come into the bedroom early in the morning, stretch out his forearm and proceed to move the door backward and forwards because he knows it will creak if he does this and he KNOWS that we will get up out of bed and feed him! See, told you he is clever… I just loved this photo and had to share it:)
Now for our WIPS’
This is Erin’s blanket she has been crocheting in a Merino yarn, it is almost as big as her at the moment…
This is Jenna’s blanket she has just started crocheting, it reminds me of ice cream, lovely…
I have started knitting unicorns again, I love knitting unicorns, they are so magical…
I have also joined the Tour de Fleece on Ravelry, I am really loving this. Every year, during the Tour de France cycling race, Ravelry has a Tour de Fleece. Everyone who joins, spins something everyday, just as the cyclists spin, we spin our yarn on our wheels! Tremendous fun! You join a spinning team and share your spinning photos each day on Ravelry. Awesome stuff! I am also getting to spin up my huge stash of rovings that are in my yarn cupboard:) The photo above is a Merino Bamboo blend. Today I am finishing a camel silk roving that is called Midnight, the deep blues, reds and purples in it are wonderful…

Don’t you just love these! I saw the tutorial on Ariella’s blog and now we can’t get enough of them! Jen and Erin are sitting here now working away with pentagons, glueing them together. They look so amazing at night, all bright and glowing little stars:)

Have a great day everyone:)

Hello Linda! It is wednesday, isn’t it… I think I will have to join in with your black and white photos one day, I really like the idea. That is your big orange cat, yes?
I love the crochet blankets! I need to teach Chloe to crochet, somehow we missed that, maybe cause I crocheted for so many years and then didn’t have much interest in it for a while. And I need to get back to working on my granny squares…
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful day!

Thanks about the blankets, I will tell Jen and Erin:) They will be so excited. They love to crochet!
Thank you so much for visiting today:)

Oh, Charlie is a gorgeous creature! He reminds me so much of my Charlie, who has figured out how to bang the cabinet doors to get me out of bed in the morning when he is hungry.

The crochet blankets are looking good! I am considering taking crochet lessons, and looking at those blankets makes me lean toward doing it.

    Hi Rae,
Charlie is a sweety pie:) The girls are really enjoying crocheting their blankets and say that they will keep them for their children. How wonderful! I am off to look at your black and white photos now:) I have added a button to the sidebar of my blog for everyone who would like to share on Black and White Wednesday:)
    Warmly
    Linda

What a regal creature that Charlie is! I adore cats. They are so full of character and opinions.

Thank you for the B&W inspiration 🙂

Hi, Linda…sorry I haven’t visited in so long! I accidentally removed my whole blog list and couldn’t get it back…boo! So I’ve been gradually adding them back…will be checking in more often now that I have you back on my faves list! I must make one of those lanterns…and that cat made me want to cry…I had one like him, named Murphy…he had an enormously long and fluffy tail. He disappeared one day and never came back…so I just imagine he’s drinking catnip mojitos in Tijuana!

    Dear Stephanie,
I have also deleted my blog list by accident once, I really couldn’t believe I did! I also spent some time trying to get all my favourite blogs back:) It was lovely to hear from you. Murphy sounds like he was amazing:)
    Take care
    Linda

Alright you girl – do you leave time in your day for eating???? So much – what’s the word? Creative output (two words? = and none of the charm they should have, those words). I LOVE to see your unicorn body – because my horses look so much like them, I feel better – that I’m not wildly out of the way. YAY!!

Gorgeous lanterns! I love your wip’s. The spinning on Ravelry sounds like fun…I’ll have to check that out! Looks like a lot of lovely crafting going on in your home. 🙂

Oh wow! I just love the yarn you are spinning and those lanterns. So warm and glowy. I can imagine them at night with their yellows, oranges, and golds.

I think it is so neat that you are teaching your girls to crochet. My baby girl is learning to knit. It’s a work in progress. 🙂 As all things like this are. Me included!!

    Your yarn is just gorgeous!!
