This week was a lovely week, I learned to crochet! I have always wanted to learn and then on Thursday I went out for tea with some lovely friends, it was such a wonderful morning, we all chatted and knitted and then I learned how to crochet, Yay! Thank you Heidi, she has also lent me this lovely book to have a look at, that I think I will buy immediately, it has the most beautiful crochet squares in it! Jenna and Erin have also learned the skill and now we are all making a blanket together. And what did the girls do all day today? Crochet of course. I love how they immerse themselves in a new craft once they have mastered the basic techniques of it 🙂
We also harvested our Beetroot and Brown onions today, we all went down to the vegetable garden and pulled everything that was ready. We have cooked the beetroot already and will have it with our supper.
This week I also discovered that my Milly House Mouse has been featured on
Parents.com
happy, happy, news 🙂
Happy weekend to you…

Love the harvest picture! Nothing like pulling up your own food.
Wonderful that you learned to crochet! Our children and I all enjoy it as well.
Also, congratulations on being featured in parents.com.
Warm wishes.
crocheting and harvest a wonderful fall day!
I learned to crochet so many years before I ever knew how to knit much, so I guess I got kind of tired of it. But lately I have been making crocheted flowers and bowls, and someday I definitely want to make a granny square afghan. Have fun with your new craft! I’m sure you will make make some lovely creations!
Linda,
Welcome to the world of crocheting 😀 It is fun and quick in comparison to knitting. (I still have to learn to knit properly.) I can’t wait to see what projects you come up with! By the way, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on your knitted mouse being featured on parents.com Too cool 😀
Thanks so much to everyone for visiting and and for your kind wishes about Milly Mouse 🙂
That’s exciting to see your Milly Mouse there! Way to go on learning yet another crafty skill…you’re so talented. 🙂
